The City's goal for every project is to improve the quality of life and provide superior infrastructure throughout Mt. Vernon. These projects include improving our parks by updating park equipment and adding additional amenities, maintaining and replacing water and sewer lines and removing unsafe structures from the community. 2020 IEPA Sanitary Sewer Improvements Project
Project Details: Lining of new sewer mains around the waste water treatment plant, install a new 18" forcemain, reroute some 8" sewer lines, and relocating some sewer mains.
