We are thrilled to share that Governor Pritzker announced on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, that the City of Mt. Vernon is one of fourteen communities awarded funding for housing rehabilitation initiatives.

How This Impacts You
The Crosswalk Community Action Agency, administering this grant on behalf of the City of Mt. Vernon, will commence accepting applications in the Fall. Stay tuned for updates on the application process! Once a date for accepting applications has been finalized, it will be announced on our Facebook page and website.
