Invitation to Bid: Mt. Vernon Downtown Streetscape Project 2025

The City of Mt. Vernon is now accepting sealed bids for the Downtown Streetscape Project 2025.

Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall, Room 100, 1100 Main Street, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864, until 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Bid packets and specifications may be obtained from the City Clerk’s Office or downloaded online at mtvernon.com/bids.

The project includes approximately one block of new curb, sidewalk, and parking lanes, designed to enhance the downtown environment.

Important: All bid envelopes must be clearly labeled:
“MT. VERNON DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE PROJECT 2025”

The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and may accept the proposal most advantageous to the City. The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer.
