Please Be Aware - Solicitors in the area

There are solicitors going door to door today saying they are from Ameren. They DO have a permit but they are NOT from Ameren or the City. Neither Ameren nor the City will ever send someone door-to-door about your electrical service.
No soliciting is allowed after dusk and all solicitors must have a city-issued permit. If they do not have a permit or it is after dusk, please call the Police Department non-emergency number at 618-242-2727. The city cannot deny a permit without valid cause and written complaints from residents.
