Temporary Lane Closure of S. 42nd Street For Road Repairs

The City of Mt. Vernon wishes to inform residents and motorists of an upcoming road closure. The City of Mt. Vernon Public Works Department will conduct road patching on S. 42nd Street. While the roadway will remain open to thru traffic, one lane will be temporarily closed. Traffic control will be managed by flaggers to ensure safety and minimal disruption.

Location: S. 42nd Street, just north of Goodwill 
Dates: Thursday, November 14th – Friday, November 15th, 2024 (weather permitting) 
Time: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily
