Temporary Road Closure Of S. 42nd Street For Road Repairs

Location: S. 42nd Street, from Mateer Drive to Broadway
Dates: Tuesday, November 19th – Wednesday, November 20th, 2024
Time: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily

The City of Mt. Vernon Public Works Department will conduct road patching on S. 42nd Street. The roadway will be closed to all thru-traffic, but local traffic will still be able to access businesses north or south of the patch location. The exact patching area is between the two Kroger driveway entrances on S. 42nd Street.

Detour: Detour signs will be posted, directing traffic to use Mateer Drive and 44th Street as a bypass.
