Temporary Water Service Interruption and Boil Water Order

Attention Residents of Mt. Vernon,

Please be advised that on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, water service will be temporarily shut off due to water main construction. Following the completion of work, there will be a 24-hour boil water order in effect.

Areas affected:

• 2000 - 2200 Blocks of Casey Avenue1100 
• 1200 Blocks of South 22nd Street

After service is restored, please remember to turn on your outside faucet and run water until clear before use.
