TIF Board

The Tax Increment Finance Board (TIF) Board is responsible for reviewing applications and requests for funding from the Downtown TIF District. If the Board approves funding for a project, a recommendation is made to the City Council. The final decision to fund a project is made by the Mt. Vernon City Council. 

Overview

The Tax Increment Finance (TIF) Board consists of five members appointed by the Mayor with the advice of the City Council. Each member serves a three-year term.
